Migrating to SGOS 5
SGOS 5.1 includes features specifically designed to control and accelerate WAN traffic. Deployments which require optimization of traffic between branches and central locations and/or datacenters should upgrade to SGOS 5.1.
Customers interested in gateway control, content filtering and security should continue to use SGOS 4.2. Click here for Blue Coat SGOS 4.

SGOS 5 only supports a direct upgrade from SGOS 4.2.1.x. Please note that if you are upgrading from SG 4.2.2.x or SG 4.2.3.x and are using any new features introduced in those releases, these features have not been migrated to SG 5.1.x. They will be included in SG 5.2. To review features introduced in SG 4.2.2.x and SG 4.2.3 please refer to the most current SG4 release notes. SGOS 5 is only supported on the SG200, SG400, SG800, SG8000, SG510, SG810 and SG8100 hardware platforms. Getting SGOS 5 Documentation
Access to SGOS 5 manuals requires a valid WebPower account. In WebPower (navigate to Self Service -> Review Documentation -> Product Documentation/Manuals -> ProxySG 5.x - Software and System Manuals) you will find the latest SGOS 5 guides.

Downloading SGOS 5
Access to SGOS 5 software requires also a WebPower account. When the form is submitted, if you're eligible to receive SGOS 5, you will receive an email that contains a download URL to access the SGOS 5 software. Use this URL to download the ProxySG software image. After the initial download of the SGOS 5 software for the selected platform, the URL will remain active for an additional 5 days.

Convert the trial version of SGOS 5 to a licensed version
To convert the trial version to a licensed version:
1. Download a trial version of SGOS 5 software
2. Order SGOS 5 (purchase SGOS 5 or submit a request for a free upgrade if entitled).
3. Setup and download your SGOS 5 software license key.
