Blue Coat AV software has two components:

1. AV appliance firmware -- this is preinstalled on your AV appliance. If you wish to update the firmware version, please follow the instructions in the AV Configuration and Management Guide.
2. AV license subscription -- this is a subscription to one of our AV partners to enable AV scanning. If you have already purchased an AV license subscription, your AV appliance will automatically pull the subscription information from the Blue Coat license server.
